Goldfish Crackers- The Snack That Smiles Back Isn't Just for Kids, With THIS Recent Collaboration

When you think of Goldfish crackers, what comes to your mind, initially? I bet you think it’s a cheddar cheese flavored fish shaped cracker for little kids, right? This limited-edition flavor combination is sure to change your mind! 

I know Old Bay is a famous seafood seasoning, but as far as I can remember- growing up in southern California, Old Bay isn’t a seasoning I’ve ever had. When I went hunting for these special limited edition Goldfish crackers when this collaboration was initially launched in 2022, I was very determined to find them and try them! Unfortunately, my hunt in 2022 was unsuccessful and left me feeling pretty bummed out. Disappointed yet determined, I was very excited to hear that this special limited edition collab would be making its return to grocery store shelves this summer, so the search began! Then on a random visit in May of this year to my local Ralph’s, I happened to find them near the check stands!

Flash forward to mid-June, the time has finally come to open this bag and find out why this flavor collaboration was so popular and hard to find in 2022!

I can definitely say that this pleasantly surprised me! These crackers are pretty good. I’d say they have a pepper-y, salty forward flavor with a nice either lemon or vinegar behind flavor! I also feel like they have a smoky flavor too, which helped make them kind of addicting to snack on! 

My dad walked in to the house just as I had finished taking photos and took a few of the goldfish from my bowl to try for himself- he loved them so much that he grabbed a handful for himself straight from the bag! As we both kept snacking, we both agreed that the spice blend seemed to kick up a bit, but we both still love the snack! 

After taking my time to snack on the crackers I had poured out into the red bowl for photos, I have to say that this collaboration really makes a lot of sense! It’s a beloved fish-shaped cracker, meeting with a beloved seafood seasoning. I honestly am very glad I’ve had a chance to try Old Bay seasoning through this special flavor collab, and can see myself picking up some Old Bay to use in my cooking at home in the future! Hopefully I can find another bag in the future, they were addicting!  I had to put these down so I could do a different snack taste test and review (check this one out here), but ultimately found myself gravitating back to these goldfish!

(A quick note as I am writing this blog post- I ended up finding a good amount of this specific flavor of goldfish at the same Ralph's store around Father’s Day- my dad had been searching for a bag of his own on a recent trip to Target, but couldn’t find them. So, I surprised him with a few bags. They were gone from our house in a flash!)
